Who is behind it
One person drawing the graphics and choosing what they go on.
The label
White Eagle Designs is Ashie's. He has been drawing about as long as he has been riding, and the designs come out of both — birds, ridgelines and trail maps, drawn by hand and then rebuilt at the size they get printed.
The range is four things: t-shirts, hoodies, jerseys and jorts. It is kept short so each one can be sampled properly before it is made.
Why the runs are small
Each design is made in small numbers rather than ordered in bulk up front. It costs more per garment, but nothing sits unsold and nothing has to be discounted to clear it.
When a design sells out it comes back only if people ask for it.
How a design gets made
Four steps. The second is the slow one.
01
Drawn
On paper first.
02
Redrawn
Rebuilt at print size. A sketch that reads well small rarely holds up large.
03
Sampled
Printed on the actual garment, then worn and washed before anything is ordered.
04
Run
A short run is made. If the sample is not right, it is not made.
If it is not something I would wear myself, it does not get printed.
Questions, orders or a collab
Shops and clubs are welcome, as is anyone wanting a note when the next drop lands.
